NHAI invites bids for six-laning of Kadampattukonam – Kazhakoottam stretch of NH 66

The National Highways Authority of India has invited bids for six laning of the 29-kilometre stretch of NH 66 extending from Kadampattukonam on Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram border to Kazhakottam in Thiruvananthapuram..

The scope of work includes six-laning of Kadambattukonam (design ch 517.250)-start of Kazhakuttam flyover (design ch 547.080) section of new NH-66 (old NH-47) in the state of Kerala on EPC mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana. The estimated value of the project is Rs 856.3 crore with a completion period of 17 months.

According to Kerala media reports published early this year, the construction works of the project were expected to begin in April this year. The reports quoting National Highway Authorities said almost 80 percent of the land acquisition had been completed by before January this year. Earlier reports had said that the 526-kilometre Thalappady-Kazhakoottam stretch of NH 66 would be widened into 45 metres
